MENASCO Prioritizes Worker Safety

(UAE – Dubai / July 2025) –    The UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued an urgent weather alert today as strong winds and widespread dust storms swept across several regions of the country. Wind speeds exceeded 45 km/h, significantly reducing visibility in desert and open areas to below 1,000 meters.

Authorities have warned motorists to drive with caution, avoid sudden lane changes, and keep headlights on. The hazardous conditions are expected to persist into the evening, prompting a series of precautionary measures from both government entities and private sector firms.

Menasco, a leading engineering and manpower services company, announced temporary adjustments to its field operations to ensure the safety of its workforce. The company confirmed that outdoor work at exposed project sites has been suspended until weather conditions improve.

In light of the current weather situation, we have activated our emergency safety protocols and temporarily paused outdoor activities at high-risk sites. Our teams are continuously monitoring the situation and will resume work only when conditions are deemed safe.”

The company added that its site supervisors and HSE teams have been instructed to reassess all ongoing field operations, with clear guidance on limiting exposure and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) where necessary.

This weather event is part of the UAE’s seasonal summer conditions, which often bring dust storms and high winds during July and August. As part of broader UAE Dust Storm Safety awareness efforts, the NCM is expected to issue further updates later today as the situation develops.
