(UAE – Dubai / July 2025) – The United Arab Emirates marked “Union Pledge Day” on July 18, a national occasion that commemorates the signing of the Union Document in 1971—an historic moment that brought the founding fathers together around the principle of national unity.

On this significant day, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, renewed his commitment to safeguarding the nation’s achievements. In a message shared via the “X” platform, His Highness emphasized that “unity will always remain the protective shield of the UAE’s journey,” calling on future generations to uphold the enduring values of the Union.

In a related statement, Mohammed Hamad Al Badi, President of the Federal Supreme Court, described the day as “an opportunity to reinforce national identity and reflect on the founding moment as the true starting point of an accelerated development journey.”

H.E. Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi, Minister of Culture, noted that Union Pledge Day serves as “a foundational pillar for strengthening national identity through cultural programs and public policy that connect future generations to the core values of the Union.”
